You can extract the correct ME Firmware from the Apple scap files. Replace the FULL ME REGION with FF in Hexeditor and then write the ME Firmware to the correct place. A good idea is also to fully clear the NVRAM Section + BBS! Had good results with this method!

You were going to write a tutorial on this at one point, still interested in throwing it up?

Flash went fine and verified , but boot up on those 2 machines was slow. Once booted (it's not an age to boot but slower that the correctly flashed one) it runs perfectly!
Could this possibly be a bit of an issue?
Like I say it causes no other problems at all than a slower boot up

If you are having a slow boot or delayed chime but it does completely boot to the OS. Try this install Mavericks on another external disk then let it install the EFI security patch.

This fixed my machine i had delayed chime and iMessage not working.

Since you mentioned it, has anybody noticed these non-macronix chips that won't program? In my ch341a tool they come up as a 128byte eeprom. I can read them if I set the correct size, but they won't program for S**T.
