It is a 2011 macbook Air.

Yes I noticed those 2 pinouts, not sure I switched it in the good position ?
Yes wiring clip to pi is ok.

Ok but how do we read ? I guess I have to start the raspberry pi, but then what ? I need a program or something ?

2011, I believe you'll slide the switch to the left (when the wires face away from you).

You'll need to connect the clip to the air and your pi, then power on your pi.
You can either remote-control your pi, or just connect a keyboard/monitor/mouse to it. I would probably do that if I were you.

When your pi is booted, you'll see an icon on the bottom left, it's a black box and it opens terminal

Then you can execute "flashrom -r" commands
See the tutorial for extensive direction

Ok I will try and tell you.
Yes i will use monitor mouse and keyboard with the pi, like I did when I tested it.
What about the mac, should it be plugged in (electricity), battery will be enough, or whatever ?

I usually work with the charger unplugged, battery connected. Sometimes MagSafe connected. Just try one setup, and if it doesn't work try another

i've determined rules and applications for nearly all facets of this job... one thing i've never determined rhyme nor reason to is battery/charger states when flashing.

if i start a thread, will you guys all post model and emc and which batt/chg state you successfully flashed in?

it seems to be random to me, but i imagine with enough data we will discover a pattern

Hi guys !
After almost 2 years I'm back on this.
I just started the flashrom process.
I read the chip 1 time and it says: " multiple flash chip definitions match..."
"please specify which chip definition..."
I got 4 definitions:
MX25L6405
MX25L6405D
MX25L6406E/MX25L6408E
MX25L6436E/MX25L6445E/MX25L6465E/MX25L6473E

I've got no idea which one to chose. I'm searching on Internet which one to use for an European macbook Air from 2011.

If I don't find anything, I'm gonna try one by one of them.

Keep you in touch guys, and thank you again for all you told me.

I finished all steps, turnt my mac on but didn't work.
I still have a white screen with a folder in the middle with a "?" on it.
But I think I unlocked the mac, I think the problem now is that the Mac has no OS to launch.
When I tried the 4 definitions the raspberry said that they were all ok. They are all called Macronix.
When I finished to write the chip they still asked me to choose one of those 4 definitions.
I tried to chose one by using -c and -P Linux_spi...
but it didn't chose it only checked the definition.

May be this is my mistake, I have to chose one of those definition for the Mac to have an OS to launch ?

But I have no clue about how to chose one.

What do you think about it guys ? What should I do ?

Thanks.
