I followed your tutorial and i think i did all good , i edited my self the file *.bin with hex editor, can somebody please check if i did good my homework before i write back to the chip
thx
I did not compare your two files, I figured I would remove the password from the locked zip and place it here along with a pix with the location highlighted, You can compare that with your work to that and maybe others will learn
as well.
Btw you can test an air board outside the shell if you have an external video cable, just hook up the magsafe i/o board and make sure the heatsink is on the cpu, really no fan needed for a short test boot. I use an external keyboard & mouse
It will likely boot a little slower due to some things not connected kind of in a limp mode, but its a way to check since you are hard wired to the efi chip, may want to disconnect from the programmer first leaving the leads connected, be real careful when removing them leads from the chip, don't want to pull the balls out with the the leads.
I wrote back the bin file to the chip it works like a charm
@ cyber16 thanks for your advice, i know that i did a risky job soldering wires direct to the chip, i could use also the gold pads but near the chip there are resistors don't know if can influence the read
another thing when i edit the bin file i haven't touched the line where this bytes are ($SVS°...Zþþ....) only filled the rest with FF as you can see in the pic
