MBA 1466 emc 2925 efi locked, options please

HI all, short term lurker, first time poster

now that the formalities are done i will get to the point

my MBA is firmware locked, its early 2015 i7, 1466 emc 2925, i have searched for hours but still unclear as to what is the preferred way to remove the password lock, do i just buy something like this and get it soldered to the board?.

if im unsoldering it from the board maybe i should order a raspberry pi and solder to the chip directly? whats your opinion?
