I have been running it for weeks now and have never had an issue. What SD card are you using?
I have two 16GB microSD cards from Samsung. I can check the exact series model, but they were $20 and I've never had these problems. I suspect that the machines are fully shutting down causing the disk image saved on the SD to corrupt.
Same here, 32GB Samsung Card. Never had any problems with booting. I can also hard reset the pi with instant power off. Try to use ext4 as root fs, this is a stable robust filesystem! You could also try to reduce the write_back time of the filesystem, that means all cached data are written earlier back from cache to the sd card. And also do a badblocks check of your card.
