I just wanted to ask if anybody had any experience of removing the firmware password on the new mid-2018 Macbook Pro with coffeelake arch.
I believe it's model a1989 and is the 13" model. As far as I know there is no SAM connector and so I would need to physically remove the firmware chip and replace it?
the mid 2018 you can not unlock efi there is no conector and no bios chip! there only 1 winbond chip but thats a 2,2 volt and not for efi, the 2018 has a own security chip and is not possible to unlock, so dont wast your time at the moment its not possible
You may not be able to read using jtag using that programmer. Your only option would be to remove the IC and then read it. If this laptop is stolen dont expect any help from me or any forum member.
He have a 2015 mac. Also 2018 been done for a while now. You wont be getting it for done anytime soon since you wont be able to figure out anything unless you see dummy guide on YouTube.
