Hello!
I need some help resetting the "Password retry count" from my x250 bios.
I have the dump file but I don't know what to modify in order to reset that counter so I no longer get the0199 system security - security password retry count exceeded error.
The bios has supervisor password which I don't know, but I only want to reset that counter so I can enter rhe limited BIOS and Windows.
Can you please give me some advice what I need to modify in the .bin file?
Here is my bios dump: www.dropbox.com/s/0qyqdnakn7fsvcs/bios1.zip?dl=0
Thank you!
It should be possible because I saw on a forum someone who said he got rid of this erroe by dumping the bios, patched it and then flashed it back. The error disappeared, and it no longer asked for a password do acces the bios or the operating system.
Of course the supervisor password was still there but it doesn't matter right now for me. I only want to be able to use the laptop again.
