I mean I don't know if them changing how the firmware password was saved in ROM since 2011, or if it's just a quinky dink. But it kinda bit them in the ass. I've read from hundred;s of people like me that legitamityly own there machines but, for some reason or another (mine was a divorce), they cannot prove to Apple support that they own it. There are tons of bricked Mac's out there. Oh and last week, all the eBay sellers that were in the US and selling Mac EFI hacks, hardware, or service were shut-down too. There's a guy with 100s of the little the little USB board adapter and a clip NO Rpi and his auctions start at $200. Thank's a lot Apple!!
